So no creations to share- but I'm putting a couple of bags of buttons in the prize box. Keep checking and remember every comment goes in the draw! You'll need to follow me but that's your name in the draw five times to start you off.
200th Blog Post!!!!!! Woohoo!! How did I manage that?!! Amazingly almost half have been in the last few months! Thank you for dropping by, it does make a huge difference if you feel people are with you. So I said I would do something to celebrate- a give away. I've put together a bundle of goodies from my stash. I'll post a daily pic of what's going in the box and a photo of the whole lot at the end. I would love to hear from you, so every time you comment over the next two weeks I will put your name in the hat for the draw. You don't have to comment on just the posts over the next two weeks- the comments will show anywhere you comment on the blog. So if you comment every day for the next two weeks you'll be in 14 times. My other request is you follow the blog and say you have in one of your comments. I will put you in the draw another five times if you follow. Competition closes the 10th August 12pm GMT- due to postage UK entrants only- sorry. Will announce winner 11th and hopefully I'll come back to find lots of you have joined in. Any way here are some tasters of what's on offer.
First thing in the pizza box- Double sided Cosmo Cricket papers! Pop back tomorrow and see what's in next! For the next two weeks I'm on hols- so not creative offering- just prizes!
Have a holiday planned so the next few posts are going to be incentives for you to keep visiting and hopefully commenting. Will throw some makes in if I get busy this week!! all seems to be cards- but they are a little less involved that layouts. Lets see what I come up with.
This should appeal to 40 something's like myself! Did you read Bunty? Mandy? Jinty??
I did and loved the annuals. One of my school run friends, a Grandfather of my son's friend, very kindly gave Emma pile of his daughters old annuals! What a blast from the past! All my favourites- but I wasn't going to touch them as they were Emma's now. So I picked one up in a charity shop with the intention of having a play- and this was the result. Had a good read while I crafted too!
Oh PS-The card would be appropriate to give myself- it's my birthday today!! TFL x
Was inspired for the post title when I looked out the window of my craft room and saw a lovely butterfly. So pretty. Tried to have a card with a slightly less delicate feel. Its bright and fun for this one. Are you watching this space for my UK giveaway?? Coming soon x
I am feeling very positive about my little blog today! You lovely people have been visiting and I am feeling very happy to have the company! As I said yesterday- I have a milestone approaching. So to say thank you I will do a giveaway of some crafty stash- a reasonable boxful actually! I'm going to run it over my two weeks holiday and show what's in the box- I'll give you details of what to do to win on my 200th post so don't forget to keep checking back. By the way, this is post 195(shhhhhhhh)
Anyway some cards have been done ready for me tootling off to Normandy and getting fat on cheese and Calvados!! this is a little floral one I have to share. xx
My posting this week has been rubbish. Every other day!! The shame. I have been to busy at work. But I made some cards today that just need photo's taken , so will be better I promise. This is also my 194th post, so I thought I would do something for my 200th. What do you think? Any way. keep checking back and I will give you more info once I've decided what to do- I'm thinking probably a destash for me and blog candy for you. Interested?? xx
These were part of thee end of years gifts for the teachers at the children's school. Cute little owl key rings with my personal touch. Going to be working tomorrow and kids are home on the range- so will have to plan out my crafting time very carefully.
Today was sports day and I have the tan lines to prove it!!! So hot sitting watching the kids but they did well. Andrew was 4th in a very hard endurance race and Emma first in the obstacle race. Hooray! No time to craft today but I don't think I shared this one- a simple bouquet. Hope you're enjoying the weather where you are! xx
I've done this card and think it needs a little something- don't you?? |A sentiment for starters. Not my usual style as you know but variety is the spice of life! Need to hide in my craft room today as I haven't created in a couple of days. One thing I must do is work with this.....
Anyone remember Bunty?? Most likely forty somethings like me! But I thought this old annual would be fab for cards. So watch this space!!
Counting down to our holiday in a couple of weeks- off to a couple of cottages in Normandy.
First week here in the country!!
The second week 30metres from the beach!! Yay! After a couple of crappy weeks I cant wait!
Today was a birthday party for one of Emma's lovely friends. A fab bowling party for her and a fab breakfast for me with two friends next door!! Excellent stuff. So the card was made yesterday and I need to be back in the craft room otherwise I have nothing to show you! Got a lovely mention on the UKS homepage- unfortunately no lovely link, oops. Hope you still find your way here!!
I am in love with this photo of Emma. She looks so serene and lovely and scarily older than she is. Slow down Em! This was the day we did Tussauds and stop of at RegentsPark on the way. A lovely day with super fab friends.
Back to it! Working on a card for a friend. For a diet coke swigging teacher! Missed my day off as the kids were ill so will have to do it in the evenings. Could be worse ways to spend them. Looking forward to the hols. Everyone is tired and I'm feeling a bit down after George and a few other bits. A nice break will be just the ticket- just the ferry ticket to Normandy for a couple of weeks! Yay! Nice to see my little blog has had more traffic- hellooooooooo! Feel free to say hi!! TFLx
PS If yoyu ever pop by on pinterest I'm here
Having a rest on the posts as I lost my little piggy George. He had his eye removed after an infection and his little body just couldn't cope. So sad to lose another little buddy, so soon after Geoff. Normal service soon xx :-(
So in light of yesterdays celebration I have a kitty page!! Phineas and Andrew- my lovely boys. The photo is on canvas photo paper so it was a nice distressed effect to work with. This was a page I've hung onto as it was for a DT application requiring unseen work. It's gone past the date to apply so guess I'm ok to publish it now! The embellishments were all new so couldn't wait to use them! TFL
Apologies because I've shown this page before and I'm going to gush My two boys are one today!!
I love these two cats soooooooo much. Just look at them and I feel blessed. Something scrappers can enjoy because they can do a page on the people, places and things they love! I should have a hundred albums filled with these boys now!
An old one in every sense here! Did this a few years ago- a heritage layout of my mum as a girl. I loved the fact that the AMM paper were perfect for the photo- which had been coloured by the studio that took the photo( Proper black and white in those days!) What amazes me now, as I look at it, is I can see Emma there. I really take after my mum as and adult but never saw it as child but Emma really has something of mums, which is lovely! They'll never have met but Emma has her granny's name (Emma Audrey Godfrey) and a lot of her looks! After 25years without her, I feel a little bit of her has come back :-)
I can't think of a title today!! So there isn't one! I need to get in the craft room as there is a pile of mess waiting to be either cleared up or worked with. But unfortunately I need to make our pit of a house a little less of a pit! Bah, housework!! I'm a bit in need of something to do- I keep checking my emails to see if there's anything interesting. I remember the days when emails meant something interesting, now it just seems to be spam, freecycle and shopping. I sound like an old woman! Back in my day..... Oh well, I have my birthday to celebrate in 3 weeks and hubby has a few its going on. So this card will do for that in the meantime! TFL xx
I even get scrapping in there too! We are having an exhibition of creative partners and it's my turn. I've framed a layout celebrating 150 years of John Lewis and my 18 of those! Was nice to get a few compliments on my pages! Don't look to horrific in the photo- no double chin! Bonus!
George is back home from the vets, minus a left eye :-( Will bring him through for cuddles when the kids retire for the night. Some love and peaceful cuddles will make him feel better.
