Funnily enough, my last post was a kiss of death on this blog! One year and three month later I paid a visit and felt I had to post. I have changed things radically in my life on some levels but all the same on others! After almost 23 years working as a home stylist for John Lewis I switched jobs and it couldn't be more different. Instead of 16 hours a week I am now full time as an Art, Food and Design Technology Technician at a local senior school. I love it! I have no time to myself, no time to craft and don't mind a bit. I love doing something different, seeing student grow and develop, it's lovely! I do keep meaning to craft as I now have weekends and school holidays- it's just making the time. We did a lovely, first proper beach holiday to Morrocco, just before I started I got my new job and last did Barcelona- so the extra hours are helping pay for things after years of  uk hols! The kids are both teenagers now!! Not so keen on me scrapping them :-) And my husband is still as lovely as ever- 23rd anniversary this year. If I do fit in the odd crafty thing, I may pop back. But if not, you know what happened to me!

I won't say I'm back because that is the kiss of death for my blogging. I haven't done anything really crafty in a long time. I keep giving store bought cards! I seem to have lost my thrill for making things. I have no time or inclination. I'm bored with what I have and cannot justify anything new. I used get a thrill from doing things, in particular design teams and friends and it all seems to have disappeared :-(

Maybe that is the nature of crafting. Thirteen years ago I was doing magazine work and it made me feel like I was really doing something exciting! Now I'm missing that excitement. Maybe that's why so many crafters I knew on forums etc all seem to be doing different things- crochet, knitting, food. The subjects of our scrapping don't want to have photo's or pages done now! Time to move on. But to what?? Sorry to sound so wistful- just needing to find myself I guess, or a new me.

I started a few cards for the holiday season meantime. Won't say that either!

Another little meow card today. Don't usually like decopage but these are so cute it hard not like! I'm off on an overnight business trip tomorrow so more makes will have to wait till I'm back!

Made a lovely big card today. Crafters Companion again, using the paper in strips to give a nice distressed feel. I really like the colours in this collection- very bold :-)

Hi there! How was your Saturday? We did something different and visited the Hellfire Caves today. Jolly good fun spooking Andrew out!  Didn't craft today but going out to change that now!!

Another kitty one today! It's a lovely pack of papers so I had a lovely little session making a few bit's. Must get my camera out to photograph a few more!

A little ray of sunshine to make up for todays completely rubbish weather! One of the many reasons my blog was not blogged(!) was due to my laptop. My mean old laptop was not connecting to my wifi intermittently and today after months of moaning, trying to not throw it at a wall and cry, ,y husband took pity and said take it to the pc man, who duly said it's the wifi card ( as suspected) and would cost £100 to fix and update etc. So after 3 1/2 years use we decided it wasn't worth the spend! So I got a new one today!! Hooray!! I'm tapping away on it now! Happy I can do internet whenever I want again! :-)

So I said it wouldn't be all cats but there would be some- so here's one for you! I got a pack of Docrafts Little Meow an have a pile of cute makes. Need some who like cats as much as me now to give it to!! Lol!

So what do you think of the new look

As you can see, I'm a crazy( not really) cat lady. When I first started card making I called it Fatcat Cards. Then I had the kids and it evolved into scrapbooking, so I then came up with Bubbaboobits. I'm still all about the kids but they photograph less now! I've also been so busy and not made time to craft but decided that needs to change. so a new name and look on the blog going back to my roots! Don't worry, it won't be all cat related!

An early night

That's what's needed today! I was up early sending Andrew on a school trip to France(How lucky??) and didn't sleep properly , in case I slept in! A bright fun card to make up for the dismal weather today!

Where did those weeks go?

Back in the Easter hols we had a lovely break in Swanage for a few days...

Did a steam train

A bit of beach

 

And several calories!!

 

I also picked up some card blanks from the works. Super funky bright ones which you will see plenty more of! I can't believe that its almost half term though!! Where did those weeks go!!

A few quickies

First few quick carsd made for the open garden. Will have to take more time out for the next batch but for something quick these are quite cute!

My mother in law is preparing for an open garden day and is doing hedgehoggy stuff. So I am making some bits for her to sell for charity!

HNY!!

So I've been missing again! Busy at work and busy with kids and my craft room is cold!! Very cold. and messy. So I need to go in, do some tidy time and crafting time! Will have something to share soon- promise! In the meantime....Hope yours was a fab 2014 and 2015 is better! xx
