Busy day today making posts for IACW.I post on Sunday and am using these...
Then I've done a post using this....
for this.......
And then I had to play with these....
It's a wonder I get time to do anything at all!
In case you are interested My facebook page gets updated slightly more frequently than the blog (by a hair!) but I would love to have you join me there!
Did you manage to catch my post? Came up with a few ideas for those coffee stirrers and this was one of them! Next on my agenda is Christmas I think! Just need to free up some time!
...you go and sprain your ankle! So the only thing I have done is tomorrows IACW post! But there's lots in it- so at least that's something! It's all about coffee stirrers! So pop on over and have a look!

Light is almost at the end of the tunnel this week! I've had Emma off sick, work continuing on the bathroom, constant mess, jiggling work hours!! I need to play with paper!! Now! So vow that I will spend a couple of hours in the craft room tomorrow- although I said that on Monday! Ho hum!
Amazing how quickly time flies between me posting and showing you something. A flying visit though!! Emma has been sick and crafting is way down the list!

So here's a card with my new kittens inspired character! What do you think? I think quite cute and perfect for cat lovers like myself! But I have started on a doggy one too!
So you know I've been quiet. You've seen two of the reasons! But I did say they have provided inspiration! So here's a peep at on of the little characters I've created for my Fatcat Cards! Many moons ago when I first started playing with making cards I was calling it Fatcat cards. I wasn't sure everyone would like the name so changed it. But I think I need a USP (unique selling point) and think these little guys could be it. So, feed back please! Are they cute little characters- would you like to see the cards and more of them??
I haven't done any crafting- bar my IACW post. But look at this face!! It must be scrapped!! Must be! Have been camping and going to do some more before I go back to work- but after that? Watch this space! TFLX
In my last post I said the approaching holidays would put a stop to any crafting- I was correct. But there is another excuse- extreme distraction in the form of these.....!!!!.....
The photo is not the best- but they are mine!! Both of them!!!! From my bestest husband in the whole wide galaxy never mind world! They are teeny tiny so I will have to wait till the end of the hols so am very distracted at the moment- although it's my IACW post on Sat so I had better get on with something!! TFL xx
I know the holidays are approaching but that never excites me as far as crafting goes. Family at home means no sneaking of to do a layout or card unless I get tough and say I'm going! So I really should try and cram it all in while I can! Got an ancient quilling kit off ebay- so will be having my first attempt at that tonight! We'll see what I come up with eh!?
Ok, so setting my challenge has not been that motivating for me or you by the looks of it. I had the best of intentions but time can be a challenge , so I guess we'll call it quits on that! Oh well. I have managed to do several cards- and my facebook page has had a nice boost in likes. Nonetheless, I will plod on here and hope you visit now and then! TFL x
Well I decided this week to change my comment settings!! The only peeps leaving comments are the spammers and that's getting a bit boring!! So if you visit on a crafty basis and not on a pimping your Viagra website- then I would really love to hear from you but it will be with an open id instead of anon now! This was another page I did with my wear crafts goodies, Did you try my challenge by the way?? Any good? Shall I continue?? TFL x
So have you visited IACW today? My post today is launching a challenge which I hope to keep doing on the blog here. It's the "Do the shuffle challenge" Each week I am going to put my ipods songs on shuffle- first one up will be my inspiration. I'll use either the song title, lyrics or album artwork as my inspiration.
So here's my first! I'm mildly embarrassed that you discover Disney Great Musicals- Age of not believing by Angela Landsbury (!!) is my first song!! Bedknobs and Broomsticks I believe. But it doesn't mean I'm going all Disney on you (Appropriate though as I'm in Disneyland Paris as you read!!)
Anyway here's the proof- and here is my Shuffle inspired layout.....
My son has almost reached that age. If he takes after me he will maintain Santa exists till 16 purely to get the stocking. My motto is "If you don't believe you don't recieve!"
So there's the challenge. Use my song if you like or your own. To give you more scope you can use the title, lyrics, album artwork or artist name. ( I do not anticipate any layout's titled Angela Landsbury- but you never can tell!!)
Anyway I hope you play along , please do comment if you do. I'll continue my weekly challenge here and post each Saturday Maybe I'll see you around.TFL x
It's so easy to forget the countless changes through childhood. It's only looking at mine that I remember. Emma's trainee teacher moves on today so this is a thank you card. In a few short weeks we prepare for end of term, goodbyes to her teachers and school as she moves up to juniors. As adults we have to deal with change and it's frequently our own choices. But remember being a child? It was quite hard to grow up and move on at times!
Here's another page made from my lovely prize from Wearcrafts! The flower has been cut from a scrap of embroidered silk. Several more creations to follow!! So watch this space! TFL xx
Did you do the recnt blog hop hosted by UKS?? I did! One of the blogs is by Wear Crafts owner JenSo I was lucky enough to win a kit on her blog. I'm going to share all the bits I made with the lovely things she sent. On this page the flower is handmade. TFL XX ps check out the candy in the side bar>>>>>
I think one of the things about scrapping is reminiscing.....remember how small and cute Emma was ( still is but all legs now!)
This is a page I did this week. Cute and colourful and a good representation of Emma's personality even then. She's not been quit so bright this week with an er infection and perforated eardrum.Owie. Booked my travel insurance today so I'm all set for my trip to Disneyland Pris now. Scrapping heaven!!! Thanks for popping by and don't forget my blog candy in the sidebar>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Is this not the face of an angelic little cat?? Hmmm...possibly not. She is adorable. Placid, gentle and very affectionate......but the there's a but!! We are currently trying to work out a blue tit + Grace problem. We have a cat who sadly does what cats do. Hunts. So far it's always been rodents :-( but not too frequently. She has never brought home a bird. I find the rodents awful (makes me sad awful) but I can just about handle that, if it was birds I would be gutted. Which has never happened. But now there is a dilemma. A bird box, which DH just popped on the fence ages ago is now home to this....
(Not the original picture)
So there's the question. She is aware of their presence- how do I keep her away?? We've put up wire. I guess I'll just have to have a broom ready!! I want to scrapbook the babies!!
All fair weather here! How's your neck of the woods?? I have decided I want more company here- so when I have photographed it, I will do a little give way! Watch this space! In the meantime a card- using some of the paper I'll have in my giveaway. ( Not the exact same stuff obviously- I've used that!!)
Today I made a cake ( please ignore my filthy grout btw!!) a cake for friend. She was celebrating her 21st wedding anniversary. We had a lovely time at her home and I met a friend of hers who liked my facebook page . It's amazing how small the world wide web can be! Here's a card from some of my boy to man page...
Had lots of spares to work with. Had a lovely family picnic yesterday and my niece filmed Dave in potential disaster/ you've been framed moment!! Best bit of the weekend though?? Booked a trip to Disneyland Paris!! Whoop whoop! Happy days!
TFL xx
it's all about a boy today. My boy, just back from his first proper trip from home at age 9. Like this layout says, he's growing up! Scary stuff. Although I'm glad he's not to old for numerous exchanges of cuddles. Lots of cards to follow from the scraps on this page! TFL xx
The creative juices have been flowing. Not just a trickle either. All pics are sorted so I hve a stedy strem of waffle for you. House is a kip mind you!!
Had to two days off this week with Andrew away so had a girl dy with Emma yesterday and three generation one today with her Nana. This is a card for aforementioned Nana- twas her birthday yesterday! Happy Birthday to my lovely mum in law!!
So this was Saturdays post on IACW by me. Which has been very kindly mentioned on UKS homepage My next post is going to be on June 1st and will be a challenge which I will start there and continue on here, hope you'll play along. Have an ipod/mp3 ready!!

This was another of my recent cutsie cards- perfect for one of Emma's little pals! I'm running out of these one though and have starting doing lots of layouts-so the scraps are coming in very handy! I was lucky enough to win a prize from Jen at Wear crafts! ( thank you Jen!!) on the UKS blog hop, so have been playing a plenty this week! Watch this space!

What a FAB day!! I saw my first Banksy in London today! We went to Regents park Zoo and I took several "scrappable" photos including this lovely....
on my phone! I am a bit of a fish geek, truth be known. So this was a blissful thing, getting a close up of a beautiful but formidable fish( told you I was a geek!!) We saw lots of fantastic animals, street art and I came home with an enormous bouquet of flowers that somebody threw out in a bin bag. I'm also a bit of a womble- making good use of the things that I find. But hey, who's going to say no to an armful of lilies, lysanthus and orchids???!! Will check back soon with some creativity soon-but enjoying ,my Easter time of for now!! TFL xx
Can you believe where the time goes?? April already! And I'm still blogging!! Did you get a chance to visit IACW?? Fifteen posts in 3 days and a new DT member on each day!! It was a hectic weekend of blog posts but we did it. I haven't had a chance to do anything much this week but do intend to clear up my craft room and create a few bits! If you didn't get a chance to visit- please do, the projects the girls came up with are beautiful as ever!
This is the template I use for the greetings on my cards- feel free to use it you like. It's not saved as a pdf or anything but hopefully you can save it and print. TFL xx

This used to be my favourite dress as a child! should have been a child the present years- much nicer fashions!! Highlight of my last 24 hrs? Winning 2 bids on ebay for slice cards! Going to busy I think!! :-)
A big thank you to MA on Ukscrappers for mentioning the return of IACW! (And for mentioning my rabbit hutch tutorial below!) We have some new ladies joining the IACW team- from across the pond!! So keep an eye out for their lovely work!!
Hi there! I've had a busy week trying to get these core'dinations projects together. They are having a design team call and it was an opportunity I cannot miss! Bit of a squeeze on time as I've worked four days and still managed to feed the gang and do some domestic goddess stuff!
First thing I've put together is a birthday card for a 2 year old girl.( Saving it for later this year!)
I've sanded the number two from a stencil and then cut around the edge.I've used two shades
of core'dinations and an embossed white which has been inked over. Simple but sweet I think!
|Next up is a layout of my lovely little Emma on her 1st birthday. Ive made the roses from two shades of core'dinations. Once the edges are inked and sanded they have a lovely stressed battered look. One of it's biggest plus point's for me. Unfortunately I lost the light so will have to try for a better layout shot tomorrow.
Finally- my Easter gift box in the form of a Easter Bunny hutch. It's for Andrew and there's a Easter chick-en coop for Emma!
I have also made my first tutorial to watch- eek!! Have a look and feel free to comment. Constructive criticism welcome but be gentle!
Funnily enough, after using my slightly suspect file's for sanding in the tutorial, I found this and had to treat myself. A proper tool!!
So there you are- my submissions. I think my strength is in the scrapbooking and card's equally. I loved doing all these projects because the beauty of this card stock is it is a blank canvas. You can sand and distress and emboss and make it into a unique patterned paper- or you can go bare and just enjoy the colour. It's got no limits with style or colour- it's there to do whatever you want it to!!
I hope you like what I've done- thanks for looking!!
